It is amazing what new fads come and go and what will stick around for a few years or even longer. It has been several years since rubber wristbands have come on to the scene. They started out as sex friendship bracelets. Then for a while they were going around the schools as sex bracelets. Different colors represented how far you had gone in bed with someone. Thankfully that fad died out. But these bands were here to stay. They are used for so many different things from fundraisers to promoting businesses for special events and for organizational events. In this article we are going to talk about another way they are used, in events.
These rubber bands that are placed on the wrist are used for our kinds of events. They are used in clubs and bars so that security can see who has paid to get in or who is old enough to be drinking beer or alcohol. These wristbands are unlike the silicone wristbands that we talked about above. These wristbands are non transferable. They have a locking snap that makes the only way you can get them off is by cutting it off with scissors. There are actually two different kinds. The Super band plastic ones have to be took off with the scissors and the Tyvek have an adhesive closure. If you try to remove this one and transfer it to someone else it will shred and make it impossible.
Let us give you some information on a few of the other different kind of event wristbands that are available. Besides the Super band and the Tyvek, there are also vinyl wristbands. These ones have a locking snap. These are waterproof, so they are good for use at a water park or at a bar. There are glitter and metallic wristbands. These are in high style and very popular with things like a band event or a club. They also have a locking snap.
Then there is the bar code or thermal wristbands. These are for use with bar code scanners. Unlike bar ID's these cannot be transferred to another person. These are great for big amusement parks and also some bars and clubs use them. They also have wristbands that are strictly for age verification. So the person serving the alcohol can tell with one glance if the person is over 21 or not. Multi-tab wristbands can be used for places like fairs, or school events. This is where you can tear a little piece at a time off to pay for drinks, food or other items.
One reason so many businesses have went to using these wrist bands for events is that it is so much easier to keep track of exactly how many you are selling a night and to be able to keep track of who is sneaking into events or trying to drink under age. So if you are considering throwing a big event or own an establishment these event wristbands may be something to think about.
